Key to the New Era Conceptual Economy

Here are three take aways I learned from reading A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink

"Your future will depend on your answers to three questions. In this new era each of us must look carefully at what we do and ask ourselves:
1. Can someone overseas do it cheaper?
2. Can a computer do it faster?
3. Am I offering something that satisfies the nonmaterial transcendent desires of an abundant age?"

The key to the changing economy will be individuals and organizations that focus their efforts on doing what foreign knowledge workers can't do cheaper and computers can't do faster, as well as on meeting aesthetic, emotional, and spiritual demands of a prosperpous time, will thrive.

What exactly does "nonmaterial transcendent desires of an abundant age" mean?
