British Mothers Spend an Average of 3 Years Cooking

I can relate to this:

"Mums will spend almost three years of their lives cooking for the family, according to new research.

The average mother will be chained to the stove for 17 days of each year - about an hour each day - cooking and preparing meals for herself and her children.

But thanks to fussy eaters and different diets, modern mums are spending more time in front of the oven than ever to keep all the family happy - with the average mother cooking two different meals at once to satisfy the whole family.

This means mums will cook a staggering 45,990 meals in their lifetime, the poll by meat alternative brand Quorn revealed.

For some it's even higher as almost 20 per cent of the 2,149 mothers surveyed say they cook as many as three or more meals on one occasion to make sure everyone is happy."
