Once again David, you are ahead of the times. Ah, the Stamford Advocate a leading edge in last week's news proves me wrong today....
"Lemonade Stands" - otherwise known as online retailers - have come to the popular social networking Web site, Facebook, thanks to Lemonade Inc., a new South Norwalk online business.
Lemonade organizers achieved a milestone, reaching an agreement that allows individuals with Facebook profiles to establish and become online shop-keepers.
"We are the first application approved by Facebook. It's a rigorous process," said Tom Zawacki, Lemonade co-founder and chief executive officer, calling it an online version of word-of-mouth advertising.
Zawacki heads a staff of 18 on Marshall Street in South Norwalk and in Monmouth, Ore.
Developed by former members of the management team at Modem Media in Norwalk, Lemonade launched this week. Lemonade Stand visitors can buy products from more than 200 retailers at a variety of sites, including Facebook.
