Jobs Available

Joey Chestnut of San Jose, California, recently won the Wing Bowl for the second year in a row. He ate 182 wings. This made the Sunday paper - and he was named as a "professional eater."

Well, this definitely caught my attention. I have been accused as such many times in my life.

But who knew it could be a vocation?

They even have a trade association - the International Federation of Competitive Eaters. And you, too, can join as a competitive eater if you think you have what it takes:

They are known as gustatory athletes, gurgitators and, in France, epicuriators. They are athletes in one of the oldest and most fundamental of disciplines - competitive eating. It is a demanding sport to say the least and requires enormous commitment. If you have what it takes, we welcome you to add your name to an email list for information on upcoming events.

Ready to try it out? Try the Wienerschnitzel World Chili Cheese Fries Eating Championship at the Queen Mary on Feb. 17. $10,000 in prizes (and free chili cheese fries too).
